Lexy Griffin-Bellamy

Welcome to My World

Acting found me at a time when everything in my life was in transition. I had just met my new family after my mothers passing, and was moving into a new home and a new life. My first Christmas Eve with my family they took me to see my first musical, the Broadway National Tour of Wicked in Los Angeles, California. Leaving the theater that night, I knew that I wanted to pursue acting.

Then I met the love of my life… New York City. I have grown so much as a person and as an artist here. Performing was initially an outlet for me. It was a way for me to channel all of the pain, fear, and loss I was feeling in my life, but over time it’s changed into something that has really defined who I am. I don’t know who or where I would be without it.

Now that I’ve been immersed in this world, I see where I fit in this industry. I want to be an example to other performers who don’t fit the typical mold. I want to show other actors who look like me that a career in this industry is possible if you work hard enough and you love it with everything you have!
